Kirsten and Michael’s Wedding Story | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

I met Kirsten and Michael earlier this year when they were looking for a photographer for their wedding day in October 2010.  To say that we clicked immediately would be an understatement.  I was so excited and felt truly honoured to be a part of their big day!  I just love getting to know my couples, as it means that I can really capture their true personalities on the wedding day.  I have followed Kirsten and Michael’s journey to the big day with great interest, and I have had the opportunity to photograph an absolutely awesome Love Shoot with them both.  You might remember their Love Shoot that we did down on the Gold Coast several months ago now.

The 2nd October 2010 started out like most days in October this year, wet and rainy.  Lots of clouds, not a lot of sun, and rain threatening an outside ceremony.  By the time I arrived at Radisson Resort it was decided that the ceremony would be held in doors.  Kirsten and Michael made the most of it, and they had THE most amazing day, filled with joy, love and friendship.  We had the opportunity to work with some amazing vendors on the day also!

The Ceremony and Reception were at the Radisson Resort Golf Club.

The beautiful makeup for the girls was by Monique at Hollywood Brides.

The Celebrant was Clare Lee who was professional and so personable on the day.

The amazingly bling worthy cake was created by Taya from Deliciously Decadent Cake Design.

I hope that you enjoy viewing these photos as much as I enjoyed creating them.  Kirsten and Michael are such an amazing couple, so supportive of one another and it is obvious that they are truly made for each other.  Their bridal party were just gorgeous and their parents were proud and beaming all day.  It might have rained most of the day, but Kirsten and Michael had a wedding day that truly reflected everything about themselves and their families.  There is absolutely nothing better than being able to photograph two people in love and watching them begin the next part of their journey together.  Enjoy!

I just loved the emotion that her mum showed throughout the day.  So special.

To settle the pre-ceremony nerves I had Kirsten and her bridesmaids sing out some Mamma Mia’s tunes:)

Such a gorgeous moment here……Mum and Kirsten look amazing here.  Both so beautiful!

OK, I couldn’t resist:)  Dad was poking tongues for the camera, so I hadddd to include one of these.:)

The look on Michael’s face below is priceless!  Something funny had been said at the beginning of the ceremony, which broke the ice a little:)

Love love love the bling on this cake!  Love all of the details here!

2 of my favourite images together below:)

Jenny McMahon - Hi Louise, even though I was not at Kirsten & Michael’s special day, I love the way that you have been able to capture the emotion of their day. I have known Kirsten since she was a little girl and it brought a tear to my eye when I saw the photos of Kirsten and her Mum – Kay. I think these are my favourite pics :-)
