This year I became an Emerging Member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). Each year the AIPP holds a range of events, including the state and national awards that members can enter. I decided that 2009 would be my first year of entering awards. I am always striving to improve myself and the way that I create my imagery through the lens. These awards attract a range of hugely successful and widely talented photographers from all over Australia. The Queensland awards are no exception, so it was a great thrill to enter this year, and be in the company of some amazing photographers and their work. I was thrilled as I watched three of my print entries being awarded Silver Awards!
2009 Qld AIPP awards – 3 Silver Award winning prints

I am finally able to share the winning prints with you all, now that the National Awards have closed ready for judging.
I have also had a visit from WestSide News who will be publishing a write up about my awards in the coming weeks.
Wish me luck in the National Awards! I will be happy just to have my prints judged and receive some feedback…….anything else will be a bonus![]()
